About Music Theory Courses

Theory courses are offered to all students of different levels and offer :

 

  • An increased appreciation and general knowledge of music.
  • Skills in writing/composing and performing music accurately
  • Discipline and scholarship

 

 Children may choose to sit for AMEB theory examinations.

 

AMEB Theory

Comprehensive programme prepares each child for AMEB exams  through to 4th Grade Music Theory. Join the class to revise or prepare for exams. Children may join at any stage.

 

Beginner Musicianship Programme

  • Two levels are offered
  • Children learn music theory fundamentals
  • Fun workbook for classroom and home use
  • Listening and musical instrument activities using keyboard and
    percussion instruments
  • Rhythm and note games

 

Suitable for children who would like to have fun with their music theory, gain aural  listening skills as well as start working towards AMEB Music Theory Grades.

 

General Details

Children may join at any time.

Children are grouped according to age and ability.

Suitable for 4 yr olds though to 12 yr olds.

AMEB and HSC Exam Help

Does your child need some extra lessons?  Help is available for sight reading, aural, general knowledge and HSC aural, musicology,  composition.

We also offer performance days where your child can gain performance skills playing their exam pieces in front of others.

Our aim is to help your child achieve excellence in their chosen musical path.

We offer music lessons for children learning piano, guitar and singing in the hills district of Sydney at our two teaching venues in Glenwood and Baulkham Hills. Our music teachers are highly skilled music educators that specialise in teaching children how to learn an instrument. We are conveniently located for families living in Baulkham Hills, Glenwood, Castle Hill, Winston Hills, Rouse Hill, The Ponds, Kellyville,  Beaumont Hills, Bella Vista, Blacktown, Carlingford and North West Sydney.
